Your next purchase starts where you left off — already saving at the lower rate.
Frequently Asked Questions
Everything you need to know about digitizing your flight logs
Photograph or scan each two-page spread, upload the images, choose Jeppesen or ASA at upload, then review the extracted flights before downloading a Generic CSV. Import that CSV into an electronic logbook such as ForeFlight, LogTen Pro, or MyFlightbook. Photo tips: /help/logbook-photos. Import steps: /export-guide.
You do. This is a photo-in web service — we do not mail in or scan books for you. Photograph each spread (or use a phone scan app), upload, and process. You are only charged a credit when processing succeeds. See /help/logbook-photos.
New accounts include 3 free page credits — no credit card required. After that, credits are pay-as-you-go: $4.00 per page for lifetime pages 1–50, $3.75 for pages 51–100, and $3.50 for 101+. Credits do not expire and there is no subscription. See Pricing on the homepage (/#pricing).
Flight Log Converter uses AI vision OCR tuned for common pilot logbook layouts—especially Jeppesen Professional pages, plus ASA Standard Pilot Log via the upload format selector. Each extracted field can include a confidence score so you can spot uncertain values quickly. You always review and can edit results in the Review tab before exporting CSV.
Good images make a big difference in OCR accuracy. Follow these tips before you upload (full guide: /help/logbook-photos):
- Include both the left and right pages in a single image so each spread is captured together.
- Keep both pages flat while imaging—avoid curved bindings, shadows, and glare across the text.
- Use even, indirect lighting and hold the camera directly above the page when photographing by hand.
- Consider a dedicated scanning app (such as Adobe Scan, Microsoft Lens, or your phone's document scanner) for straightened, high-resolution results.
- Use your free credits to test your scanning approach and get familiar with the upload and review process before processing your full logbook.
Jeppesen logbooks are the primary OCR target. ASA Standard Pilot Log pages are also supported via the format selector at upload. Other paper formats are not OCR-tuned yet. See /help/supported-formats for details, or email support@flightlogconverter.com if you need another layout.
Most pages finish in about a minute once a worker picks them up, but time varies with image complexity and queue load. In the app you will see queue position and an estimated wait. When a job finishes, we email you if email delivery is enabled for your environment.
We export one format today: a Generic CSV with 21 Jeppesen-style columns. Download that file and import it into electronic logbooks such as ForeFlight, LogTen Pro, or MyFlightbook using each app’s CSV import flow. Step-by-step import tips: /export-guide.
Failed pages get a clear reason and next steps. Transient system or platform errors are retried automatically without charging a credit. For photo-quality issues you can skip with no charge, or upload a better image and process again—a credit is used only when processing succeeds.
No. Page credits do not expire. Buy only what you need when you need it—there is no monthly subscription. Lifetime page volume can unlock lower per-page rates on later purchases (see Pricing on the homepage).
We use TLS for data in transit and host data on infrastructure with encryption at rest. Passwords are hashed with bcrypt. Logbook images are sent to our OCR providers through OpenRouter only to extract flight fields, under the controls described in our privacy policy (/privacy)—we do not sell your data for advertising. You can access your own account data; authorized admins may access accounts when needed to operate or support the service.
Yes. After processing, Review shows your page image beside an editable flight table. You can correct any field and delete incorrect entries before exporting CSV.
Email support@flightlogconverter.com anytime. Self-serve guides live in Help (/help), including the logbook photo guide, supported formats, and the export and import guide (/export-guide).
Yes. Every new account includes 3 free page credits—no credit card required to start. Use them on your own logbook pages before purchasing more credits.
